Google employee barred from promotion ‘for being a White man’

A former Google employee now says he was barred from promotion due to his race. The employee, Shaun Maguire, initially blew the whistle in 2023 but made a public statement on X, formerly Twitter, following public backlash to anti-White bias allegations in the company’s new “Gemini” AI.

Next Steps: In an X/Twitter thread, Maguire hinted that he was prepared to sue his former employer for anti-white discrimination. Critics of Google and its new AI also found a powerful ally in Tesla founder Elon Musk.

Despite being one of the “highest performing” employees, supervisors were not able to promote him due to a set of corporate racial quotas.

  • “I’m really not supposed to tell you this. It could get me fired. But you’re one of the highest performing people here but I can’t promote you right now because I have a quota. My hands are tied. You’ll get the next slot. Please be patient. I’m really sorry.”

In the Past: Google has been at the center of numerous anti-White and racially charged scandals in recent years, which target its straight, White, male employees. In 2021, leaked training documents outlined the company had adopted a far-left “antiracism” initiative aimed to elevate non-White workers at the expense of White ones.

  • Google has launched an “antiracism” initiative claiming that America is a “system of white supremacy” and that all Americans are “raised to be racist”—including Ben Shapiro, who is depicted as a layer of the “white supremacy pyramid,” culminating in “genocide.”
  • the company’s extensive racial-reeducation program, based on the core tenets of critical race theory—including “intersectionality,” “white privilege,” and “systemic racism.”
  • In a module called “Allyship in Action,” Google trained employees to deconstruct their racial and sexual identities, and then rank themselves on a hierarchy of “power [and] privilege,” then “manage [their] reactions” through “cry[ing]” and “accessing [their] ‘happy place.’”
